Build the demand side of an innovative talent marketplace

We are looking for an Arkansas based business development professional to help us build employer relationships, onboard employer partners, and help build a certified talent marketplace.

SmartResume, a division of iDatafy LLC, is a platform that helps job seekers build certified resumes with embedded verified credentials to improve the hiring process. We help connect employers with skilled workers through Certified Talent Marketplaces. SmartResume is the world’s first blockchain certified resume platform that provides employers with a systematic method to remove hiring bias from early recruitment efforts. SmartResume partners with numerous universities, academic institutions, and skill certification organizations to issue SmartResumes to all graduates and alumni to help optimize careers. We are an early stage start-up looking for exceptional people to join our team.

What You’ll Do:

SmartResume is looking for a Business Development Manager to lead our employer recruitment, activation, and retention efforts. This individual will partner with the Chief Growth Officer to formulate and execute an employer recruitment strategy to bring new employers to the marketplace. This will include cold outreach to employers and working with SmartResume partners like economic development agencies to spread the word about SmartResume’s employer offerings. You will also partner with the SVP of Account Management to make sure employers actively participate in SmartResume’s certified talent marketplace to express their talent needs and recruit job seekers. This is a “do it all” role in a startup environment where you will wear many hats, and work across multiple dimensions to maximize the value of the marketplace through employer engagement and activity.


  • Build an employer pipeline of companies we need to recruit to the marketplace in order to offer the best job opportunities to SmartResume job seekers
  • Actively reach out and recruit employers to join the marketplace and set up their talent needs to be notified of matching talent
  • Engage current employers to increase their activity in the marketplace.
  • Synthesize employer feedback to help shape company strategy and the product roadmap

Compensation: A competitive compensation package will be designed based on the candidates experience, skill, and industry knowledge and relationships. To start, this position will not involve revenue targets, but will involve clear performance benchmarks.
